Janice Paine

Each month, ICBR honors one of its members as Member of the Month. This month, we recognize new 2013 ICBR President, Janice Paine. Learn more about Janice below:

ICBR: Why are you an ICBR member? What do you look to gain out of your membership?

Paine: ICBR is THE only organization that is focused on Indiana commercial real estate legislative issues, Indiana specific commercial real estate education and advocates for our profession in our state.  Networking with my peers and giving back to the industry that has been so good to me are also important benefits of my membership.

ICBR: What designations/awards/recognition have you received from the industry?

Paine: Indianapolis Business Journal 40 Under 40 (2008), Top 20 Women in Commercial Real Estate Under 40 in North America (2008), Top Producer

ICBR: How did you start your career in commercial real estate?

Paine: As a Property Management Assistant at what is now CB Richard Ellis.

ICBR: Do you have any mentors? If so, who? How has he/she inspired you?

Paine: I have been fortunate to have many talented people that have been my teachers.  Among those, Andy Banister has inspired me to not only be good at what I do, but showed me by example how important it is to always do the right thing.

ICBR: What is the most important thing you have learned by working in commercial real estate?

Paine: To keep my sense of humor.

ICBR: What is your current professional goal(s)?

Paine: To build the investment team at the Colliers Indianapolis office.

ICBR: What is your most recent accomplishment?

Paine: Staying in business for the last five years.

ICBR: Do you have any special skills/interests/hobbies?

Paine: Cooking & Travel
